Recognise legal risks in export trade before it’s too late
The regulations governing the export of goods are complex and the tests can be very time-consuming, yet any violation of export control laws carries unpleasant consequences. Export control regulations impose growing restrictions on global free trade. Any enterprise wishing to remain competitive in international commerce must take steps to ensure compliance with export laws and provisions. AEB Export Controls gives enterprises the extra certainty of timely compliance with all legal requirements and full utilization of all privileges. It should be remembered that the trade of goods within the European Community is also subject to rules. Every shipment of goods must be checked against these rules for any permit requirements.
Foreign Trade Law, Embargoes, Dual Use: direct check of national and EU law
As soon as an order is created and stored in SAP®, all line items undergo a direct online test: Is the destination country under any trade embargo? Do the listed goods require a specific authorization or is a general authorization applicable? Restrictions based on embargo regulations, export authorization requirements, transfers subject to the EC Dual Use Regulation, obligatory notifications – all of this is individually monitored for every business transaction. All process facilitators such as general authorizations and value limits are also checked, so you won’t miss out on any privileges. Test results can be viewed in the Export Controls Center, where blocked documents can also be released. All documents and laws on which the test results are based can be accessed from here as needed.
Safeguarding US trade
United States regulations must be observed to safeguard trade relations with the US and prevent the exclusion from trade with American goods. The integration of automatic test routines via ATC :: Export Controls can be extended to include other legal systems – for example, US re-export law.
