With the Tracking & Tracing module of ASSIST4 Despatch, you can always establish where a package currently is and who is currently involved in its transport. Tracking and tracing information forms the basis for optimizing your supply chain and improving quality management.
Active tracing in a single system
Do you work with more than one forwarder or transport service provider? Monitor all your deliveries in one convenient application with Tracking & Tracing. There are various search functions available – for example, you can choose to view all overdue consignments. Another option instructs the system to send you an e-mail warning if a consignment is overdue or cannot be shipped.
Who had the best record for punctuality?
Interested in a year-end check showing which percentage of deliveries to a specific region arrived on time? Or an overview comparing the reliability of your forwarders? All Tracking & Tracing information is available not only for quick status queries but also for statistical analysis or processing in an Excel spreadsheet. This gives you a better estimation of the quality of your deliveries and leverage in collaborating with your partners.
Transparency for your customers
Are the goods already on the way? Each and every customer – to the extent you allow it – can check the status of his or her delivery via the Internet. Even in the middle of the night or on Sunday. This provides your customers with service that is not commonplace. At the same time, you reduce your internal workload, as fewer queries need to be handled. A sophisticated system of rights administration ensures that customers can only view those consignments they are authorized to view.
Electronic integration through the data hub
The Tracking & Tracing module lets you gather consignment information across the entire supply chain and make it available for retrieval, as long as the forwarder or supplier is willing to have event messages either transmitted or stored on a server. Data retrieval is handled by the ASSIST4 “data hub”: the ASSIST4 Communication Management System (ACMS).
