Many transport service providers, one ASSIST4
Supply chain collaboration in practice
Many forwarders as well as courier, express and parcel services offer the option of close interaction with the systems of their shippers. The transport service provider connections integrated in ASSIST4 Despatch provide you with a host of benefits. You always have all available service types and routing data at your fingertips, enabling you to identify your despatch pieces with the correct labels and bar codes of the corresponding transport service provider (TSP) as soon as they are packaged. Many documents – such as shipping documents – do not even need to be printed out at all unless they are required for export.
Documents directly from ASSIST4
Filling in despatch forms manually is cumbersome and time-consuming, and the constant changes to forms and labels do not make the job any easier. With ASSIST4 Despatch, the correct despatch data is transmitted automatically. The required documents can then be printed out directly from the system. This reduces complaints while improving reliability and customer satisfaction. Last but not least: your transport insurer may offer the incentive of lower premiums based on the integration of systems.
Hotline to the TSP
Electronic data interchange with the TSPs saves time and minimises the error quota. The Transport Service Provider module can create a daily consolidated list of all the packages destined for the service provider. This list is then transmitted to the TSP as an EDI message adapted to the specific format of the service provider. All the required data is thus ready before the consignments are picked up.
UPS, DHL, DPD, FedEX, etc.
