Intranet application form for technology transfers management
Technology transfers (“intangible exports”) are very difficult for any company to keep track of. This intranet-based application form provides an easy way for employees to check whether the export licenses or MOD clearances are in place for the activities they are undertaking. If these already exist, then the user records via the application form which export license or MOD clearance they intend to use. Otherwise, an administrator is notified of the requirement thus triggering the application process.
Key features include
- Key fields relating to the activities being undertaken determine which export licenses and/or MOD clearances may be used (e.g. phone calls, e-mails, meetings, travel, products, countries, prospects).
- All export licenses or MOD clearances that match the activities specified are displayed to the user.
- Two modes of operation: user self-approval whereby a user can determine if they are cleared to use a particular export license or MOD clearance; administrator-approval whereby the administrator must approve use before the user is cleared.
- Display of scanned copy of the export license and/or MOD clearance to the intranet user so that the terms and conditions can be reviewed.
- Notification to administrators if an export license and/or MOD clearance is not available thus ensuring that applications are made as soon as a requirement is identified.
- All approval requests are recorded in the ASSIST4 system thus providing audit data whereby an administrator can assess training requirements.
